1789 Rosier Bernardus van Blerk sergeant in the Battalion in the Government service; became, more than a year ago, subject to fits and convulsions, which often incapacitated him from properly performing his duties. Moreover, a few months ago hi s left arm became so paralyzed that he has never recovered its use, so that he asks for his discharge, and to be permitted to return to his former condition of burgher.
